The Goals We Wish to Achieve in The Future

We all have these goals we set in our minds. Maybe we say them aloud or maybe we keep them to ourselves. Either way, we think about them constantly and hope one day we’ll achieve them all. The goals we wish to achieve in the future. I’m just going to go ahead and tell you all what I plan to achieve before I die (don’t laugh – or do, not like I can hear you anyways).

Bucket List #10 – Get Rich

Don’t we all want this though? I grew up in a middle-class household so my childhood was me fantasizing about getting what all the “cool kids” had. With four other children for my parents to take care of, my fantasizes didn’t quite work out the way I wanted them to. If I wanted a Nintendo DS, then guess what? So did all four of my siblings. And obviously that didn’t happen. I had to watch my friends and classmates all play on their Nintendo’s while I sat there thinking about how when I’m older, I’ll be able to buy anything I want once I’m rich. If I wanted an iPod… my older sister gets it first because well, she’s older. So I ended up sharing an iPod with her. And that was probably the worst thing I’ve ever had to share. I’m not greedy but sharing an iPod with someone is rather infuriating. My childhood promise is now an adult promise – I will get rich once I graduate university. I want to be able to fly anywhere I want and buy anything I want. My dream is to be able to walk into a store and buy anything I want without looking at the price. I also want to finish my bucket list and that includes a lot of travelling so wish me luck getting rich.

Bucket List #11 – Graduating Law School

Typical, I know. But I really want to get a job as a criminal lawyer. And not just for the money (though that’s definitely a bonus). In my 3rd year of high school, my classes got a bit messed up and I ended up taking a law class. At first I really didn’t want to take the class, but it soon became my favorite class of that year. Law was probably the last thing I expected to have a passion for but…Ces’t La Vie. Soon after that, I got interested in everything and anything law and criminology, from books, television shows, the radio, social media, to the news. And now here I am studying criminology in my third year of university. I can almost smell my degree. I can’t wait for the day I’m graduating law school and checking this off my list.

Bucket List #12 – Meeting a Celebrity in a Grocery Store

I know this sounds a bit weird but have you never seen the pictures of people randomly bumping into a celebrity in a grocery store? How much luck do they have? This isn’t an essential goal but something that would be pretty cool to experience in my lifetime. And I’m not going to be picky… I’m willing to bump into any celebrity in a grocery store, just as long as I get to take a picture with them! Okay, I’ll be a bit picky. I’m hoping I’ll one day run into Lights Bokan (she used to live in Toronto, now she lives in Vancouver so it’s not impossible).

Bucket List #13 – Learn 5 Languages (or more)

This is going to be hard because it’s way easier to learn languages when you’re still young. But, I hope I’ll be able to do it. Along with English and Arabic, I want to be able to say I know how to understand and speak at least five languages. I want to learn Russian, Italian, and Spanish. It would be amazing to be able to know five or more languages. This way I would have a better chance of understanding people when I travel. Plus, it will help me in my criminology field future. What 3 (or more) languages would you all want to learn?

What are the future goals you want to achieve in the future? Tell me your dreams (that you will accomplish soon) below!

  1. I loved this post! Bucket list #11 and 29 made me laugh. I understand the struggle as a student having to budget and having to share things with siblings. It really is frustrating. Also, I have tried ‘bumping’ into celebrities, but it just doesn’t turn out the way I’d expect it too. Just once I’d like to meet Gabriel Macht. I can also relate to #8, as I would love to learn more languages. I started learning Arabic, French and Spanish and never continued. It’s definitely been on my list of things I would like to continue. I liked how your bucket list is rather achievable and how they are goals that we all try to achieve although we may not say them out loud like you mentioned in the intro. Looking forward to seeing more of your bucket list!
